LEED Green Associates have a documented, current understanding of green building principles and practices. From planning and design through every aspect of construction, green or sustainable building uses environmentally responsible and resource-efficient processes that reduce impact on human health and the environment. Green building becomes increasingly important as communities continue to grow and develop.
Buildings account for 38 percent of carbon dioxide emissions and 68 percent of the country’s total electric consumption. Implementing green building practices can preserve ecosystems and natural resources, improve air quality, and reduce waste. Additionally, such practices can reduce operating costs and increase profits for building owners through greater efficiency.
